    • We must have a New School Funding Formula
    • We must provide state funding to suburban school districts
    • School District Consolidation and Shared Services
    • Public Employee Benefit Reform
    • Constitutional Amendment to cap Property Taxes

Pay to Play and Dual Office Holdings

      • No bid contracts are unethical
      • Pay to Play is wrong and should not be allowed
      • Dual office holdings are a direct conflict of interest

      NJ Economy

      • From 2000 to 2006 we gained 61,000 jobs (1.5%)
        • Only 8,000 of  those jobs were in the private sector
        • 53,000 of the jobs were in the public sector
        • We actually gained over 130,000 of the lowest paying jobs
        • We LOST over 120,000 of the highest paying jobs ($7.8 Billion in personal income)
      • We need to implement state incentives for businesses to relocate to Northwestern New Jersey

      Tourism, Atlantic City, Meadowlands, etc…

      • There are incredible opportunities to increase state revenues in tourism.
      • Waterloo Village is a primary example
      • Atlantic City is another.  It should be a worldwide tourist destination.  It should be the #1 tourist destination on the East Coast.  Major tax relief could be gained by enhancing Atlantic City.

      Gasoline the Real Story

      • We MUST stop our reliance on foreign oil.
      • We MUST find alternative sources of fuel.  Private industry is not going to get it done.  The government MUST step in to force change.
      • Big Oil has a hold on the United States and the world.  We MUST get out from under our reliance on unstable Middle Eastern nations.

      Highlands

      • Towns outside the Highlands area that are insisting on this Legislation to protect their drinking water should bear the cost of it.
      • Highlands Legislation is a fact of life and is going to get passed. We need to focus on getting the best situation for the people of our district.
      • We have needed an organized Regional Growth Plan for decades. We are overdeveloped and there is too much traffic.
